Moving pages is renaming a page. It's necessary when the title of a page is incorrect or does not follow Icaruspedia's naming standards.

How to Move a Page

  1. If the move is a major name change, start a discussion on the talkpage of that article, and place the template {{Move}} at the top of that article.
  2. After a period of time has elapsed for discussion, and Administrator will move the page if there are no major objections to it.
  3. For smaller moves, click the "move" tab, and rename it to the page that you want the article to be named.
  4. Be sure to leave a redirect if it falls within the redirect standards.
  5. Make sure all pages that link to the moved page have their links updated.

How do I know when to Move a Page?

  1. If the title of the page is misspelled.
  2. If the title of the page does not follow Icaruspedia's naming standards.
  3. If the page's name was changed by the owners, be sure to leave a redirect though. (i.e If Pit were to be renamed "Kid Icarus")
  4. If community consensus is for changing the name of a page. (Mark the page and discussion page of the article to be moved with {{Move}})
  5. If the title of the page is not the North American or European name.
  6. If the title of the page is incorrect. (i.e An article about Palutena being named Pit)
