This is a very notable move by Nintendo for a relatively unknown series, showing their dedication to giving it the grand reboot fans have been longing for. These anime shorts are to be produced by some of the most prestigious Japanese animation studios, such as Production I.G, Shaft, and STUDIO4°C. Production I.G's feature will have [[Pit]] as the main character, and air first on ''Nintendo Video'', and have three segments. This animated short will center on a great battle, as the heroic angel and the humans are pitted against Medusa's minions, and the God of Death, [[Thanatos]]. Unlike the other features, this one will be done in CGI, instead of the traditional anime format. Directed by Junichi Fujisaku.
