The Mega Mussel (シェッツ Shettsu) is a new enemy introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising. It is a rather bizarre looking oyster creature that floats using tiny leaf-like wings. The inside of the oyster contains a soft pillar-like structure, supporting multiple rotating appendages that each hold one or more pink pearls. These pearls seemingly act as its life source and weakness, as destroying all of them will collapse and defeat the creature itself. In addition, each pearl can also shoot a small light projectile, making the entire creature tougher when it has more pearls. It is first encountered during Heads of the Hewdraw at ground level.
