Poseidon is a new character introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising. He is the first divine character revealed that has not appeared in previous games of the Kid Icarus series, and is likely the brother of Zeus due to his mythological origins. Not much is known about this character, although he'll likely play an important role during the chapter featuring the Seafloor Palace. In Chapter 7, he opens the sea after speaking with Palutena and closes it as Pit enters the Seafloor Palace.
